Alzheimer's disease : Alzheimer's disease is a neurological disorder in which the death of brain cells causes memory loss and cognitive decline. Felbamate increases valproate levels. Phenytoin, phenobarbitone and carbamazepine lower valproate levels. Increased risk of hepatotoxity with hepatotoxic drugs. Potentiates action of CNS depressants (barbiturates, primidone) and alcohol.
