Methylergometrine cause increase in serum levels and risk of severe vasoconstrictive effects with potent CYP3A4 inhibitors. The delavirdine antiretroviral agent may increase the toxicity of methylergometrine. Telithromycin may reduce clearance of Methylergonovine. Tipranavir, co-administered with ritonavir, may increase the plasma concentration of methylergometrine. Concomitant use of the serotonin 5-HT1D receptor agonist, zolmitriptan, and the ergot derivative, methylergometrine, may result in additive vasoconstrictive effects.
