Plasma concentration of timolol reduced by barbiturates. Enhanced hypotensive effect when beta-blockers given with ACE inhibitors. Severe hypertension when beta-blockers given with adrenaline (epinephrine) especially with non-selective beta-blockers. Enhanced hypotensive effect when beta-blockers given with adrenergic neurone blockers. Enhanced hypotensive effect when beta-blockers given with aldesleukin. Enhanced hypotensive effect when beta-blockers given with alpha-blockers , also increased risk of first-dose hypotension with post-synaptic alpha-blockers such as prazosin. Enhanced hypotensive effect when beta-blockers given with alprostadil.
