Antidepressants: anticonvulsant effect of antiepileptics possibly antagonised by MAOIs and .tricyclicrelated antidepressants (convulsive threshold lowered); anticonvulsant effect of antiepileptics antagonised by .SSRIs and .tricyclics (convulsive threshold lowered); avoid concomitant use of antiepileptics with .St John’s wort. Antimalarials: possible increased risk of convulsions when antiepileptics given with chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine; anticonvulsant effect of antiepileptics antagonised by .mefloquine. Orlistat: possible increased risk of convulsions when anti epileptics given with orlistat.
