It is available as a tablet and as a disintegrating tablet taken orally. It is usually taken once a day at bedtime, with or without food.
Oral: Store it at 15-30°C. Protect from light and moisture.

Atherosclerosis : Atherosclerosis is a specific form of arteriosclerosis in which an artery wall thickens as a result of the accumulation of calcium and fatty materials such as cholesterol and triglyceride. It reduces the elasticity of the artery walls and therefore allows less blood around the body, posing serious cardiovascular complications. Atherosclerosis is the usual cause of heart attacks, strokes, and peripheral vascular disease -- what together are called "cardiovascular disease." A range of medications which can be used to treat Atherosclerosis are Anticoagulants, Aspirin,Atenolol, celiprolol, nadolol, Oxprenolol, pindolol, acebutolol , sotalol, calcium channel blockers, Ezetimibe, Fibrates, Glycoprotein IIb/IIIa Receptor Inhibitors, Niacin (Nicotinic Acid), Nitrates, Platelet Inhibitors, Statins
Potentiation of sedative effects with alcohol or benzodiazepines. Increased plasma levels with potent CYP3A4 inhibitors Reduced plasma levels with carbamazepine and other inducers of CYP3A4. Increased bioavailability with cimetidine. Potentially Fatal: Do not use with or within 2 wk of stopping an MAOI; at least 1 week should elapse between discontinuing mirtazapine and initiating any drug which may provoke a serious reaction (e.g. phenelzine).
