Drug Dose Information

Oral
Adult-Deficiency states: 25 to 50 mg up to 3 times daily.

Isoniazid neuropathy (prophylaxis: 10 mg daily.

Isoniazid neuropathy (treatment): 50 mg 3 times daily.

Sideroblastic anaemia: 100 to 400 mg daily in divided doses.

Precautions

Pregnancy

Long term administration of high dose may cause severe peripheral neuropathies.

Do not take large doses of vitamins (megadoses or megavitamin therapy) unless directed to by your doctor.

If you are taking 200 mg per day or more of pyridoxine (vitamin b6 )extended-release tablets regularly, do not suddenly stop taking pyridoxine .
