Breastcancer : Breastcancer is cancer that forms in the cells of the breasts.
Treatment
Surgery, radiation ,medications
medications
There are currently three main groups of medications used for adjuvant breast cancer treatment: hormone-blocking agents, chemotherapy, and monoclonal antibodies.
Hormone blocking therapy
tamoxifen (Nolvadex), anastrozoleor letrozole
Chemotherapy
Cyclophosphamide with doxorubicin (Adriamycin). Sometimes a taxane drug, such as docetaxel (Taxotere), is added, and the regime is then known as "CAT". Another common treatment, which produces equivalent results is cyclophosphamide, methotrexate, and fluorouracil (or "CMF").
Monoclonal antibodies - Trastuzumab
Osteoporosis : Osteoporosis causes bones to become weak and brittle — so brittle that a fall or even mild stresses like bending over or coughing can cause a fracture. Osteoporosis-related fractures most commonly occur in the hip, wrist or spine. Bone is living tissue, which is constantly being absorbed and replaced. Osteoporosis occurs when the creation of new bone doesn't keep up with the removal of old bone.
Symptoms
Signs and symptoms include:
• Back pain, caused by a fractured or collapsed vertebra
• Loss of height over time
• A stooped posture
• A bone fracture that occurs much more easily than expected
Treatments
For both men and women, the most widely prescribed osteoporosis medications are bisphosphonates. Examples include:
• Alendronate (Fosamax, Binosto)
• Risedronate (Actonel, Atelvia)
• Ibandronate (Boniva)
• Zoledronic acid (Reclast, Zometa)
