Salbutamol is available as tablet, syrup, and extended-release (long-acting) tablet to taken orally. The tablets and syrup are usually taken three or four times a day. The extended-release tablets are usually taken once every 12 hours. Take albuterol at around the same times every day. Should be taken on an empty stomach. Take 1 hr before or 2 hr after meals. Albuterol comes as a solution (liquid) to inhale by mouth using a nebulizer (machine that turns medication into a mist that can be inhaled) and as an aerosol to inhale by mouth using an inhaler.
Store protected from light and moisture at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.

Epinephrine and other orally inhaled sympathomimetic effects and risk of toxicity. Avoid use together. MAO inhibitors and tricyclic antidepressants. Serious CV effects may follow use. Avoid use together. Propanolol and other beta blockers may antagonize the effects of albuterol. Excersice caution when used together. Digoxin : Salbutamol possibly reduces plasma concentration of digoxin. Methyldopa: Acute hypotension reported when infusion of salbutamol given with methyldopa.
