USE IN PREGNANCY
•	The Food and Drug Administration places oxymetazoline in category C, indicating risk to the fetus cannot be ruled out. While it has been shown that a single dose does not significantly alter either maternal or fetal circulation, this subject has not been studied extensively enough to draw reliable conclusions.

Nasal congestion
Adult: As 0.05% solution: Spray 1-3 times into each nostril bid.
Child: =6 yr: Instill or spray 0.05% solution 1-3 times into each nostril bid.

Ophthalmic
Conjunctival decongestant
Adult: Instil 1-2 drops of 0.025% solution into the eye(s) 6 hrly when necessary.
Child: =6 yr: Instill 1-2 drops of 0.025% solution into the eye(s) 6 hrly when necessary.

Cocaine, furazolidone, MAO inhibitors or tricyclic antidepressants because side effects, such as headache, fever, or high blood pressure, may be increased. Bromocriptine or cocaine because the actions and side effects of these medicines may be increased.
